Elusive Breaths treats light as a political instrument, echoing Foucault’s notion of visibility as control, where illumination disciplines as much as it reveals. Rather than affirming Western ideologies that equate light with truth, reason, and moral clarity, the work unsettles these assumptions by allowing light to falter, hesitate, and fragment. Forms and lines emerge under pressure; sometimes soft, other times forceful and dark, it questions the notions of surveillance, exposure, and enforced legibility. Breath operates here as a fragile counter-light: rhythmic, fleeting, and embodied, negotiating exposure, risk, and resistance.  Is visibility a form of freedom, or another mode of control?
